Monte Cristo Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 2 tsp honey mustard
- 2 tsp reduced-calorie mayonnaise
- 4 slice(s) reduced-calorie whole wheat bread
- 3 oz low-fat Swiss cheese, use four 3/4 oz slices
- 4 oz cooked lean ham, cut into 4 slices
- 2 large egg(s)
- 2 spray(s) cooking spray
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine honey mustard and mayonnaise; evenly divide among 4 slices of bread. Place 2 slices cheese and 2 slices ham on each of 2 bread slices; cover with remaining bread slices.
- Whisk eggs in a shallow bowl; add sandwiches to bowl one at a time and flip to coat both sides.
- Off heat, coat a large skillet with cooking spray; set over medium-low heat. Cook sandwiches, flipping once, until cheese is melted and golden on outside, about 4 to 5 minutes per side.
Notes
Yields 1 sandwich per serving.
